Impersonate With Dress Up Or Role Play Kits

When you were still a kid, you probably dreamed of becoming a doctor, a fireman, a teacher, a nurse, a lawyer or even like your mom or your dad.

We would always impersonate how they look, how they move including how they speak.

In other words, we role-play. Role-playing is considered as one of the most important part of growing up that a parent or a teacher should take note of because a child's future lies in what they dreamed of becoming one day.
Role-playing is a learning tool that has been in existence for quite some time now.

Whenever children day dream, or place themselves in a "what if" situation, they are already performing a certain role, they are already putting themselves in a scenario even when they are not sure of what the outcome would be.
What they only know is that, if they do something right, the outcome would be good and they will probably be "rewarded" but if they do something wrong, the outcome will be bad and they would likely be "punished.
" Somehow, this imagination trains children on how they should behave in society while still young. With dressing up or role-playing, children start to enhance their social and emotional skills.
Role-paying is very effective when you are using it in order for a child to learn, but sometimes, role-playing can be too effective that it could reach a point where it could already damage a child's personality, instead of improving it. This is because, mainly, role-playing involves two or more characters with different perspectives and, children that they are, they are not yet fully aware of what exactly is wrong and what exactly is right.

When using role play, therefore, be very cautious.

Be sure to impress upon the children that certain behaviors are right and certain behaviors are wrong and guide them carefully in choosing which is which, that they do not end up confused.
You help them develop critical thinking this way.
